The clock keeps ticking

No matter how many times you put things off and delay your dreams, the big clock keeps ticking and your time continues to run out.

The recent deaths of legendary icons Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson have forced us to think about how short our lives are and that we never know when our last day will be.

The clock keeps ticking and won’t wait for us and we can’t wait either.

Don’t wait until you have more money.

Don’t wait for the “perfect” time.

Don’t wait until you’re older.

Don’t wait for the economy to get better.

Don’t wait for retirement.

Don’t wait for someone to help you.

Don’t wait until next month, next week, or until tomorrow. Don’t wait! You’ve got to go after what you need and want NOW!

The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.” – W. M. Lewis

  1. This post nailed it because so many people wait to start a business, or wait to meeting a new lady/man or to simply do something because they are waiting for the right moment or a better time. The truth is there is no such thing. Sometimes I have to tell myself and others, that the moment is now and whether you do right or not, that is not the point. The point is to Just do it like Nike.

That’s so true Pedro. There is no such this as a perfect time or right moment. When you think there is you keep waiting and waiting, for something that’s never going to come.

You have said so perfectly precisely. No time can be more auspicious to begin an enterprise than the time in hand…. the time now and the time here. No one knows for sure and certain what, except old age and death, will tomorrow bring us. It is THIS MOMENT that we must love, enjoy and live to its fullness. It is THIS MOMENT that we must take the first step towards our destination, lay the first stone of our planned construction. Who knows it may be the last………..!

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts H.S. Your writing is great. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
