Hi David,

Thanks so much for sharing your story! I have to agree with you. And maybe the happiest people are those who are poor and know it but they don't let it get to them. They know it's just a financial state and they don't let if affect their mental state. I remember when my family was very poor; I told my mother when I was young; "we might not have a lot, but we sure do laugh a lot."

Thanks again for sharing David! I hope you can find and create some more happiness.

The happiest people are those poor people who don't know they are poor. Like my family in the 50's and 60's. We had so much fun back then. Christmas was a joy with the smallest of gifts. It was family that erased all the fears of being poor. We were together. We supported each other in everything. 40 years later and $110k each for my wife and myself, life is truly dismal. All we worry about are bills, money, and more bills. We took on more social responsibilities than we could handle, member of this, member of that. It all costs money. It brings little true lasting joy. My best part of my life was when I was poor. I didn't know it and it never caused me any problems. I still have the shirt my mother made me from flour sacks we go at the local grocer. It's nearly 50 years old, but it lasted. My joy in life didn't.

Well if someone dies poor because they donated their money, that's very respectful.

I believe that it's not a sin or a curse if you were born poor. The problem lies if you still die poor. There are many rags to riches story out there. And there are even kids as young as under their 20's making some decent income in the internet. These stories proves that it's our fault if we died poor since we did not act on our situation.
